The Director-General of the All Progressives Congress, APC, States Assembly Forum, Dagogo Fubara, has accused the party of denying them aspirant nomination forms despite meeting the requirements.

Fubara made this allegation on Tuesday during a live interview programme on Arise Television’s ‘Prime Time’.

He said it was not his first time running for a national convention, stating that the organizers claimed that they printed limited copies of the forms.

“After paying for the forms and fulfilling all the necessary requirements, we were denied the opportunity to get the aspirant nomination forms.

“We all paid that money. They received the money and we went for clearance. We were cleared in accordance with the rules and regulations of the convention.

“We were asked to go to the organizing department for the forms to be issued. We got there, they told me that they’ve exhausted forms.

“We started this system right from 2012. So I was happy that this convention will usher a lot of youngsters to come in and serve this party since President Bola Tinubu has nurtured us.

“We, more especially from the ACN extraction all these years see ourselves to be viable to go into elective positions.

“So we’re surprised when some microscopic few in the system said the forms have been exhausted,” he lamented.

Similarly,, APC Youth Advocate and Director-General, Youth Jagaban Network, Umar Jijiwa, has alleged that the party’s convention organizers are keeping aspirant nomination forms for those already in power.

Jijiwa made this allegation on Tuesday when he featured in an interview on ‘Prime Time’, a programme on Arise Television.

The organizers of the APC National Convention had reportedly said that the aspirant nomination forms have been exhausted.

Reacting to the development, Jijiwa said, “APC National Working Committee nomination forms were not issued to us after payment because they are being kept for those already in power.

“They are not sharing these forms with anyone outside the team. They’re for the same team members who want to remain in power.

“It’s not about candidates that were favoured. No. It’s the people that are there that gave forms to themselves that they are going to continue there. It’s not that there’s no room for other people. They anointed themselves.

“We paid, but then you did not give us form. Why? Because you only did one form, and you give it to the same person that is already there, that also has interest to stay there. That is what happened, not that there’s somebody anointed from outside.”
