VATICAN ADOPTS IGBO LANGUAGE DURING CHRISTMAS MASS WITH THE POPE

A video of the prayer of the faithful in Igbo language at the Pope’s Christmas Vigil Mass at the Vatican on December 24.

One of the intentions during the Prayer of the Faithful at the Christmas Vigil Mass celebrated last night by Pope Leo XIV in St Peter’s Basilica was read in Igbo language, recognising input from Igbo members across the Catholic Church worldwide.

An Igbo couple also joined in carrying the gifts to the Pope during the Eucharistic Procession.
