WIKE VS FUBARA; PEACE DEAL LOPSIDED – EX-COMMISSIONER
Former Rivers State Commissioner for Employment and Empowerment, Dr. Leloonu Nwibubasa, has rejected the recent peace pact between Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his estranged political benefactor, FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, branding the truce a humiliating capitulation rather than genuine reconciliation.
Nwibubasa dismissed the deal brokered by President Bola Tinubu as lopsided and devoid of the equity and justice required for lasting peace. “I want to state with all sense of responsibility that I didn’t see a reconciliation. I saw a surrender,” he declared.
The Abuja meeting that birthed the accord, he said, was tilted entirely in Wike’s favour. “Governor Fubara attended that meeting as an individual, not as a representative of Rivers State’s collective will.
All the stakeholders present were on the side of the FCT Minister. That’s not peace—that’s imbalance and intimidation,” he added.
