OBAMA PUSHED ME OUT OF POWER FOR REJECTING AGEGE LAW – GOODLUCK JONATHAN

“Many call me weak because I chose peace over power, refusing to let my ambition spill the blood of my people.

It began when Obama presented policies he claimed would benefit Nigeria and Africa. While many aspects aligned with my vision for economic growth in agriculture and technology, one proposal stood out—embracing and implementing Agege laws (which would allow man-to-man relations).

As an African leader, I sought counsel from my brothers, the late President Robert Mugabe and Uganda’s Yoweri Museveni. Mugabe warned in parables, and Museveni laughed, asking, ‘Ebele, do you want your people in diapers?’ Their words reaffirmed my stance.

When I told Obama I couldn’t impose Agege laws on Nigerians, he simply smiled and said, ‘The West will take care of you.’ Soon after, I was out of power.”
