MBAH, SOUTH EAST GOVERNORS CONSPIRING TO DESTROY – IPOB

WeThe Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has accused the Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, and other Southeast governors of conspiring to destroy the group.

The IPOB’s spokesman, Emma Powerful, raised the alarm in a statement issued on Monday.

Powerful said IPOB is working hard to provide security and direction that many Southeastern Governors have failed to deliver.

He further alleged that IPOB’s counterparts in the North are being funded and protected by the Nigerian government, unlike Southeastern governors.

Emma Powerful added that the conspiracy to destroy IPOB would fail because they remain the last line of defense in the region.

The statement read: “The attention of the global family and movement of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) ably led by the great and amiable leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has been drawn to the plan of the Nigeria selected Governor of Enugu State, Dr Peter Mba, to destroy IPOB in that state.

“It is unfortunate that Peter Mba wants to tread the path of shame and destruction, which he has seen backfire on others who have tried.

“IPOB is working hard to provide security and direction that many Southeastern Governors have refused or failed to provide.

“While their counterparts in the Northern territory are being funded and protected by the Nigerian government, Southeastern Governors are conspiring to destroy IPOB, who is their last line of defense in Biafra Land.”

CHIEF JUDGE REJECTS NYAKO’S RECUSAL FROM NNAMDI KANU’S CASE, RETURNS CASE FILE The Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Justice John Tsoho, has rejected the recusal of Justice Binta Nyako from the ongoing trial of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). Justice Nyako had recently stepped down from the case following Kanu’s demand, in which he expressed a lack of confidence in her ability to handle the trial impartially. Justice Tsoho’s decision, announced on Friday, emphasized that Justice Nyako was the most suitable to conclude the case, which has lingered since Kanu’s first arrest in October 2015. He also highlighted that two judges had already recused themselves from the case previously, further prolonging the legal proceedings. Tsoho noted that if Kanu persists in requesting Nyako’s removal, he must file a formal motion with an affidavit explaining his reasons. This decision adds another layer to the protracted legal battle Kanu has faced since his 2015 arrest. His repeated requests for bail have been denied, and despite several appeals, the trial remains unresolved. With Justice Nyako back on the case, it is uncertain how long the process will continue before a resolution is reached.

I SACRIFICED MY POLITICAL CAREER IN FINLAND FOR BIAFRA’S INDEPENDENCE – SIMON EKPA

I SACRIFICED MY POLITICAL CAREER IN FINLAND FOR BIAFRA’S INDEPENDENCE – SIMON EKPA Simon Ekpa, the activist advocating for Biafra, has stated that he made sacrifices in his political career in Finland in order to focus on the agitation for Biafra’s independence. Ekpa, who is referred to as the Prime Minister of the Biafra Republic Government In-Exile (BRGIE), announced this in a statement made through his official X account on Thursday. He stated that over the past few years, he has concentrated his efforts on achieving self-rule for Biafra which underscores his dedication to the cause and highlights the ongoing struggle for the region’s independence. Ekpa’s focus reflects the aspirations of many who seek greater autonomy and recognition for Biafra. He stressed there is nothing hallow to him other than the cause of liberating Biafra from alleged marginalization by the Nigerian government. “I have decided not to take part in the coming election and focus on Biafra Liberation in Finland. “I have served my people, community and region since 2012,” he stated. Recall that Ekpa had announced that on December 2, 2024 Biafra will be declared. This comes amid his continued criticism of the Nigerian government despite the plan to extradite him. In July 2021, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was rearrested by the Nigerian government and has remained in custody despite calls for his release.
