POPE FRANCIS ELEVATES SEVEN CATHOLIC PRIESTS IN EBONYI TO MONSIGNOR RANK

Pope Francis has elevated seven Catholic priests from Abakaliki Diocese to the rank of Papal Chamberlain otherwise known as Monsignor.

Chancellor of the diocese, Rev Fr. Matthew Opoke made this known in a statement in Abakaliki.

According to the Chancellor, “The following priests of the Catholic Diocese of Abakaliki have been raised by His Holiness, Pope Francis to the rank of Papal Chamberlains (Monsignor) are: Msgr Christopher Okoro, Msgr Justus Odoemene, Msgr Clement Osunwokeh and Msgr Matthew Isukpa.

Others include: Msgr Godwin Oluoha, Msgr Gabriel Owoh and Msgr Felix Onwukike.“The date for their investiture will be announced later. Congratulations to them.”
