EDISON, GOVERNOR FUBARA BACKED RIVERS ASSEMBLY SPEAKER, RESIGNS FROM HOUSE

Rivers State lawmaker, Hon. Edison Ehie, has resigned his position as a member of the state House of Assembly and as a speaker of a group of lawmakers.

In a letter addressed to the INEC Chairman, Hon. Ehie did not provide any specific reason for his resignation.

He expressed gratitude to his colleagues and constituents for the opportunity to serve them. It is unclear what this development will mean for the future of the state legislature.

Hon. Edison Ehie is a notable Nigerian politician who served as a member of the Rivers State House of Assembly, representing Ahoada East constituency.

He was elected to the state legislature in 2019, and prior to this, he held various positions in the All Progressives Congress (APC) party. He has been recognized for his commitment to public service and dedication to improving the lives of his constituents.In addition to his political career, Hon. Ehie is also a businessman and entrepreneur.
