MY WIFE, CHILDREN THINK I’M Crazy FOR OFFERING MY KIDNEY TO EKWEREMADU’S DAUGHTER – JOURNALIST

A Kaduna based journalist and publisher of Daily News Time, John Adi, has recently been under scrutiny after he decided to donate one of his kidneys to the ailing daughter of a serving law maker who is currently in detention in the United Kingdom, Senator Ike Ekweremadu.

The journalist revealed, while in an interview with The Punch that, even his wife and children think he is out of his mind and could probably die if he should donate one of his kidneys to the senator’s daughter.

While speaking during the interview, John Adi made it known that so many people have said different things about his simple act of gesture of doing good.

He made it known that some were of the opinion that he decided to be a donor for his selfish interest, while others said it is because he knew that the Senator could ask him to marry his daughter.

However, in a bid to clear the air about the misconceptions surrounding his gesture, Adi made it known that he is only trying to be of help because the scripture says that we should love our neighbours just as we love ourselves.

Speaking further in the interview, he said that he is financially okay and does not need the senator’s money. He made it known that he has been a journalist since 2005, and has built a reputable name and career for himself adding that he is also into farming.

In conclusion, he made it known that the gesture is genuine and has no other motive(s) attached to the help he is trying to offer the senator’s daughter and family at large.
